Richard George Rogers, Baron Rogers of Riverside (born 23 July, 1933) is a British architect noted for his modernist and functionalist designs. He was natural within Florence in 1933 and attended the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London, before graduating from either Yale University in 1962.
At Yale he met fellow student Norman Foster & on giving to Engl& he install architectural practice when Team Four sustaining Stephen foster and their various married woman Su Rogers and Wendy Cheesman. It quickly earned the reputation for 'high-hi-tech' industrial project.
Around 1967 the practice split up, & Rogers joined Renzo Piano winning the project for the Pompidou Centre in 1971. This building constituted Rogers' characteristic style where virtually all of the building services (water system, heating ducts, & step) were involved on the exterior to leave unlittered internal spaces. Now a building occurs as extremely admired Paris landmark, however at a period crtitics were further mixed dubbing a up to date within-wrong-side-out style Bowellism.

Rogers was one of a virtually all vocal advocates of the Millennium Dome task & his reputation has suffered following. Though however regarded when one of a major international practices these are notable that since a Dome he has secured fewer landmark projects.
Fallowing many years of development a challenging Rogers Masterplan for the regeneration of Newcastle-upon-Tyne was rejected. Rogers has move politically as a Labour life peer and in 2000 wrote the UK governments 'Urban Renaissance' white paper. Rogers is todays chair of the Greater London Authority panel for Architecture and Urbanism.
Rogers' 2nd married woman is Ruth Rogers, co-owner of the River Cafe and author of the series of popular Cookery books on Italian food .
